Over the winter break, Drama students did not rest. We had students involved in a range of local industry experiences, developing their skills and connections with the vibrant Adelaide performance scene.

Five Year 11 students—Rebecca, Hannah, Neeka, Holly and Elizabeth—attended a one-day workshop at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment, as part of their prize winnings for the 2025 48 Hour Film Project, exploring the process of filmmaking and experimenting with digital environments.

Rex and Keziah (Year 11) attended the State Theatre Company’s Winter School program, run by established practitioner Katie Cawthorne. They formed a company and generated a unique devised work over the course of four days with students from across South Australia.

Finally, in most exciting news, Year 11 students Zoe, Jem, Lani and Ethan were selected by Australian Theatre for Young People to present their interpretation of a brand new play, Driving Everywhere and Nowhere at Once by Sean Larry Mudariki, at the inaugural South Australian Intersection Festival at the Parks Theatre on Tuesday 4 August, along with other participating schools.
