Six Pedal Prix teams from the Concordia and St Peters campuses competed in the Tailem Bend 8-Hour race on Saturday, 1 August. Ideal weather conditions welcomed 191 teams from across Australia, creating the perfect setting for an exciting day of racing. Our wonderful community of parents, staff and students brought plenty of enthusiasm and support throughout the event.
All six teams tackled the long, technical circuit, which featured multiple hill climbs and challenging headwinds. Each team adopted its own race strategy to successfully complete the demanding eight-hour event. Racing ran smoothly with minimal time off the track, and every team represented the College with outstanding determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Standout performances included our Middle School A trike, Raptor, which battled for a top seven position throughout the race and strengthened its place on the overall series podium. The St Peters Campus trike, Blue Saint, also delivered an excellent performance, finishing in the top 10 of the Primary School category.
A sincere thank you to all the parents and staff whose support in the lead-up to the event and on race day made this achievement possible. We look forward to finishing the season at the 24-Hour Murray Bridge race in September.
