Senior School Course Counselling and Subject Selection

Since the start of Term 3, students in Years 9 to 11 have participated in the annual course counselling and subject selection process, helping them make informed decisions about their future learning pathways.

As part of this process, students completed their SACE Subject Planners, exploring subject options and considering how their selections align with their interests, strengths and future career or study goals.

In Week 2, students attended the Senior School Subject Expo, where teachers and current Year 12 students shared information and experiences from each senior school subject. This provided valuable insights into course content, expectations and opportunities.

Students also participated in year-level presentations outlining SACE requirements, senior school pathways and the subject selection process. These sessions ensured students understood the requirements for successful completion of the SACE and the options available to them.

The process will conclude in Week 4, with course counselling meetings involving students and their families. These individual meetings provide an opportunity to discuss subject choices, review pathway plans and ensure selections are appropriate for each student's aspirations and goals.

Thank you to our students and families for their engagement throughout this process so far. We look forward to supporting our students as they continue to plan for a successful and rewarding future.
