On Friday 4 September, over 250 musicians from across all three campuses performed in our annual Concordia in Concert music showcase to an audience of nearly 700 in Fortiter, which had been transformed from a Gymnasium into an impressive performance space. This year’s concert celebrated the glitz and glamour of the Grammy Awards and we welcomed back Old Concordian and professional performer Mark Stefanoff (2008) as our event host. We also recognised Martin Butler OAM as he prepares for retirement after 25 years of dedicated service to the College, helping to shape and strengthen our Strings program. In addition, we farewelled our Year 12 musicians and presented the following awards:
- Mike Stewart Memorial Award – Marco (12SBAC)
• Living Choice Community Award – Sherry (12SBAC)
• Peter Schmidt Music Award – Lila (12CFIN) and Ethan (12SBAC)
• Concert Band Award – Asaph (12KNIC)
• Martin Butler String Award – Sherry (12SBAC)
Thanks to all who attended and to our sponsors for their support on the night. Finally, a special thanks to our Diamond Sponsors:
Kellie Rich
