Last night, Concordia College's Sports Department ran our first ever awards night. The ‘CC Spirit of Sport Awards’ was a hugely successful event with nearly 500 people attending. It was a night of celebrating student and team successes.

We also introduced the perpetual David and Sue Serotzki Team of the Year trophy, which recognises David and Sue’s enormous contribution to sport over many years. It was great to have them there to present the trophy. We were also privileged to have Laura Hodges, four-time Olympian, share some of her life story of playing basketball for her country and various USA teams.

Our Teams of the Year are the Premier League Reserves girls' netball team and the boys' Open A basketball team. We also announced the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year. Luke (12CFIN) (basketball) and Elise (10NBOY) (netball) were our first students to receive these awards respectively. It should also be noted that Harry (12TMCC) won the SAAS Player of the Year for Basketball at the SAAS awards on Tuesday 15 September. This the result of a vote awarded each week, and is highly valued.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and well done to all who have represented Concordia College this year in sport.
