Our Year 7 students were fantastic in Term 1 with their performances in the SAPSASA KO competitions and district carnivals.
Our Softball team was impressive in the first game, only going down by three to the very competitive Highgate Primary School team.
The Tennis boys had a convincing win over Norton Summit in Round 1 and unfortunately went down in a tight-fought contest with Linden Park.
The Cricket team defeated Stirling East in Round 1. Round 2 was against Eastern Fleurieu and after a strong start to make 102 runs off 25 overs they unfortunately were defeated by one run in the second to last over.
Our Year 4-7 Swimming team came 3rd overall at the District swim meet and we have five students selected for the State Day Swim Carnival.
Congratulations to the following Year 7 students who have been selected in the Adelaide South East District teams to compete in the State Championships throughout Semester 1.

On Monday 9 April, 21 excited Year 5 and 6 boys took to the football field for their annual Crows Cup Competition. The boys did extremely well with the warm weather conditions, finishing 3rd and 5th. They should all be proud of themselves for both their sportsmanship and football skills. A special thanks to all the parents and grandparents who came for part of the day or the whole day. It was great to have you there supporting and cheering on the students. We are now looking forward to next year’s Crows Cup!

On Anzac Day, it was great to have six girls from St John's Campus enjoying an opportunity to play in the half-time match during the Women’s Mini League Grand Final. The girls played hard, cheered well and had loads of fun. It was such a wonderful experience for them all, which I’m sure they will remember for a very long time. It is always great to see students out and about in the community letting their sporting talents and abilities shine.

On Sunday 6 May, the College Pedal Prix team travelled to the riverside township of Loxton for the first time to compete in the 6-hour event on a very technical street circuit. A smaller team of 40 students competed in four trikes across the day and all participated with a high level of enthusiasm and care throughout the meet. Our Category 3 trike Harmony had an exceptional race, reaching 2nd place at the 4-hour mark, but unfortunately a flat tyre resulted in the team losing a couple of laps and pushing them out of a podium position. For other teams, students experienced their first race and did an exceptional job to handle the technical track conditions with little riding experience. All teams only experienced minor mechanical and body repair issues, resulting in some excellent results for the first race of the year, including three top 10 results in their respective categories.
A big thank you to Amy Martin and Jason Kupke for attending the race to help manage teams, and to parents who assisted in several roles over the weekend as well as in preparation for the race. The team now continues to train in preparation for the next 6-hour race in Adelaide on Sunday 17 June.
Harmony (Category 3): 4th - 134 Laps
Concorde (Category 2): 8th - 124 Laps
Matrix (Category 2): 9th - 118 Laps
Shockwave (Category 2): 13th - 108 Laps
