Congratulations to Catherine 12NFLE who competed at the Australian Gymnastics Championships, placing 7th overall in the Rhythmic Gymnastics individual competition (Level 10). Catherine qualified for the finals in both Clubs and Hoop, earning her first individual medal (3rd place) at the national competition for her Hoop routine. Catherine also represented the state as a member of the South Australian team that placed 2nd. Well done!
Congratulations to Mia 6O and Emma 9SBR who were selected as finalists from a pool of over 300 entries in the 2017 SA Refugee Week Youth Poster Awards competition. Mia and Emma attended the exhibition launch at the University of South Australia's Kerry Packer Civic Gallery on Monday afternoon to receive their certificates. Well done girls!

We also congratulate Year 7 students Grace 7RHO and Laura 7SSPA who were selected to represent the Adelaide South East District at the SAPSASA Netball State Carnival that competed recently. The girls played hard and had fun, with their team finishing 2nd in the competition after winning all but one of their 9 games and missing out on the last win by one point in the final seconds of the game.

Back to topStudents from Years 7, 9, 11 and 12 recently took part in the second round of the schools debating competition, tackling topics such as the use of technology in the classroom, the future of penalty rates and freedom of speech. Congratulations to all participating students and, in particular, to the Year 11 team who won their debate: ‘that we should fear the rise of fringe politicians’.
