Lewis Shines in AMEB Exam

Congratulations to Lewis 9MGI who has received the AMEB Grade 8 Saxophone Prize for his outstanding performance at the recent exam session, as well as achieving an A+. Well done to Lewis who will receive this prize at the Showcase and Awards Ceremony in early December.

Representing SA at the Pacific School Games

Congratulations to Mitch 11MBR and Alana 8EJO who have been seen selected to represent South Australia at the 2017 Pacific School Games in Swimming. The Games run from the 3 - 9 December, with students from 15 countries and each Australian state and territory coming to Adelaide to compete in 11 different sports.

Kate secures spot on National Diving Squad

Kate 10JGE has had a very successful year on the diving circuit. It has been a year of hard work and determination that has resulted in Kate recently securing a place on the Diving Australia's (Senior) National Squad.

She began the year at a SASI Diving Training Camp on the Gold Coast in March, and in May placed 5th at the Diving Australia Open National Championships in Sydney. 

At the Elite Junior Nationals in Perth, Kate won Gold on the 1m and 3m Springboard, was awarded Diving Australia's Junior B (U15) Diver of the Year, and was named in the National Junior Squad for the third year in a row.

Kate IMG 3705 AI2Kate competed in her first senior international FINA competition in November - the FINA Diving Grand Prix, Singapore, and won a Silver Medal in the Women's 3m Springboard Synchronised Event with her partner Alysha (Queensland), as well as placing 5th in the Women's 3m Springboard Final. 

In December, Kate will be involved in a Training Camp in Brisbane in preparation for the Commonwealth Games Trials to be held in December.  We congratulate Kate on her amazing achievements and wish her well as she represents not only Australia, but Concordia on the world stage!
