Boys Cricket

Saturday 11 November

Concordia 1st XI Cricket defeated Immanuel. Immanuel won the toss and decided to send an undermanned Concordia XI into the field first. Immanuel struggled early in their innings, however some slightly wayward bowling and sluggish fielding allowed them to form a solid middle order partnership and score a very competitive 150 runs from their 25 overs. Best with the ball for Concordia was James K with 2/12 from his 4 overs. Our boys also struggled early reaching 4/43 in the seventh over. Luckily Mitchell T (54) and Joshua G (56) came together to form the best partnership of 2017, steering the boys to within 13 runs of the target score and ultimately winning what became a very close game.
