On Monday, 3 December, the Concordia Media Centre came alive with Christmas cheer! The Hindley Street Country Club again visited, this time to record the John Lennon classic “Happy Christmas (War is Over)”. Included on this recording though, were 60 St John’s Campus Year 3 and 4 students, Yasmin, Lily and Lauren (Year 11), Ethan (Year 10) and Ted (Year 7), as well as Kat Sanchse from “The Voice” and Mat Noble (Director of Music, Concordia Campus).
Recording can be a time consuming and difficult process, but the high level of concentration and professionalism shown by all students was outstanding. Particularly impressive was the energy and humour the Year 3 and 4 students brought to the session. This cross-campus collaboration was videoed and recorded by Year 10 Media students under the direction of David Modra and Simon Kuchel, and will be available online within a week or so. When the video goes live, please share it with your friends and relatives, as I’m sure it will certainly put you in a festive, thankful mood.
Congratulations to all involved!
