Concordia Commemorates National Reconciliation Week 2026 — All In for Reconciliation’

5 June 2026

To commemorate National Reconciliation Week 2026, students and staff from all three campuses gathered in Fortiter for a special assembly on Friday 29 May. Students shared their recent learnings on the topic of reconciliation, and our College Captains highlighted the importance of the theme 'All In for Reconciliation'—emphasising that working together towards reconciliation is everyone's responsibility. To close the assembly, our Rock Band performed Midnight Oil's classic song Beds are Burning as part of the national 'Voices for Reconciliation' initiative—a moving moment of reflection for all in attendance.

Later, students at our St John's Campus were extremely excited to be visited by Adelaide Crows stars Izak Rankine and Callum Ah-Chee, who were interviewed by three of our Year 6s and shared the importance of their culture, their families and what reconciliation means to them.

As we continue to implement our Reconciliation Action Plan, events such as these help shape us into a the type of community we strive to be—a community that honours truth, values diversity and actively contributes to reconciliation.
