An initiative started in 2022 at Concordia to help support those in need through Lutheran Care’s Winter Appeal has now caught on outside of the College, with our Winter Woollies days being adopted by Lutheran Care, who are encouraging other schools to participate. Concordia’s participation in 2023 involved non-uniform days at all three campuses, ELC to Year 12, a sausage sizzle for Middle and Senior School students (arranged and cooked by Year 12 Student Leaders), and many winter woolly items donated to a worthy cause.

In the end, more than $2,500 was raised and bags of new beanies, gloves, scarves, socks and blankets were donated – a reminder of the incredible generosity of our community and of the enduring Concordia ethos of service to others.
